Health Care & Social Services Support

Hospitals and other social service facilities are the backbone of our communities. As such, they need all different kinds of workers to come together and deliver expert care in a safe environment. When you work in this field, you support people and families when they are at their most vulnerable. You'll know your work makes a difference every day.

Partners Wanted

Imagine Technical Institute is built upon relationships—individuals, families, businesses, referral agencies, and funders—all working together to increase competitive work opportunities for people with disabilities in our region. We believe meaningful employment changes lives, and that belief drives everything we do.

At Imagine Technical Institute, we partner with inclusive-minded, forward-thinking businesses to design and deliver vocational training programs that meet real industry needs. Our programs are not theoretical—they are built in collaboration with employers who are ready to hire. This ensures that every student gains the skills, confidence, and experience necessary to transition directly into meaningful, competitive employment.

These partnerships create real opportunities for both sides: immediate, fulfilling work for our students and skilled, reliable employees for our business partners. The result is a true win-win—one that strengthens workplaces, enhances diversity, and builds a more inclusive workforce across southwest Missouri.

Together, we’re helping people with disabilities discover their talents, achieve independence, and contribute to the success of our community’s businesses in powerful, lasting ways.

A Valuable Incentive: The Work Opportunity Tax Credit

The Work Opportunity Tax Credit (WOTC) is a federal tax credit available to employers who hire individuals from specific groups who face barriers to employment. The credit amount varies based on the employee's group and the number of hours worked during the first year of employment. Eligible employers can claim the credit against their federal income tax liability. WOTC applies to individuals from various groups, including individuals with disabilities who have been referred to work by a state or federal vocational rehabilitation agency.

Visit irs.gov for more information on how to reduce your tax liability while providing employment opportunities for adults with disabilities. It's a win-win for your business and the community.

That's the thing with the graduates we've hired—their care, their concern—it's evident. And the best things is, it's also contagious.
