We are now enrolling students for our CoxHealth Vocational Training Program for adults with disabilities. This six-week course provides students with the vocational and soft skills training needed to successfully pursue competitive full-time employment as Food and Nutrition Services team members. The course meets Monday through Friday for four hours a day. The starting wage after graduation is $15/hour. The Missouri Department of Higher Education accredits this course. Total tuition funding is available.
While each course will have its own unique qualifications, some common items would include:
In manufacturing, you know exactly how your work matters. The products you create are real. They’re tangible. You can look at them and know precisely what their impact is. Plus, the industry is so vast that you could be making anything – from wires and cables to plastic toys or even airplane parts. You can actually say, “I made that!”
When you work in the hospitality industry, you get to create clean, comfortable spaces and warm, welcoming experiences for hotel guests.
The mood in the hospitality industry is always upbeat. Plus, as hubs for gatherings such as weddings, business events, and conferences, there’s almost always something happening that generates excitement.
Warehouses and third-party logistics (or 3PL) distribution facilities are being built all over in response to major changes in how American households purchase goods. Supply chains are changing fast. Become part of this growing industry! You will build boxes, load and unload products, kit goods, pull orders, and get packages ready to ship.
Hospitals and other social service facilities are the backbone of our communities. As such, they need all different kinds of workers to come together and deliver expert care in a safe environment. When you work in this field, you support people and families when they are at their most vulnerable. You'll know your work makes a difference every day.
